Cannabis Ice Cream on Strawberrys

Chocolate Cannabis Ice Cream (Vegan)

Chocolate Cannabis Ice Cream (Vegan)

This delicious Chocolate Cannabis Ice Cream recipe uses infused cannabis oil, which is made with various carrier oils such as coconut oil, raw cacao butter, hemp seed oil and olive oil. Any of these carriers will do for this recipe, as only a small amount is needed, but raw cacao and/or coconut oil goes best with the chocolate flavor. I personally use a mixture of both coconut oil and raw cacao butter, as it tastes good and I already make this mixture for topical use and for suppositories/pessaries

If you have never taken cannabis oil before, it is sensible to use half the amount of infused cannabis oil in this recipe (i.e. 1.5g), then eat a little to test the effects.

Wait two hours and if it is not strong enough for you, add another gram and test the effects again. It is important to test the strength properly before you take the mixture out of the blender/smoothie maker.

If you want this ice cream to be more fattening and creamy, you can add half an avocado, whilst increasing the date syrup and raw cacao powder slightly to disguise the taste of the avocado.

Equipment

  • Blender / Nutribullet
  • Large Bowl
  • Measuring Jug

Ingredients

  • 200g cashew nuts
  • 250ml cold water
  • 4 heaped tbsp raw cacao powder
  • 6-7 tbsp date syrup (or agave syrup or local honey if not vegan) depending on how sweet you like your chocolate ice cream;
  • 3g infused cannabis oil
  • Pinch of salt

Method

  • Put all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth
    – I also like to put the mixture in a Nutribullet, which makes it more aerated. I find this gives it a lighter, smoother texture which makes a delightful chocolate mousse if you don’t have a freezer, or if you prefer mousse to ice cream.
  • Put in the freezer until frozen and then serve with fresh fruit. The hardest thing about this recipe is not eating it all at once.
  • Enjoy!

REMEMBER: Always bare your individual dose in mind this recipe is only a guide.

Cannabis Oil Chocolates (Vegan)

Cannabis Oil Chocolates (Vegan)

This recipe makes approximately 24 delicious cannabis oil chocolates. I prefer my medibles to be on the weaker side, so I can eat 3 or 4 chocolates without falling asleep. You will need to adjust the amount of cannabis oil that you use according to your own tolerances.

It is wise to test the strength of the chocolate mixture before you put it into the moulds; if you don’t feel medicated after testing it, wait two hours before trying any more to ensure the psychoactivity has taken full effect. It doesn’t matter if your mixture cools and solidifies while waiting to test the effects; you can simply put the mixture back in the Bain Marie to melt it again when you are ready.

You can put nuts in the chocolate moulds before or after pouring in the chocolate, which helps to make them go further as well as reducing their strength. I like to make half with nuts and half without, so I have two different strengths to choose from.

Equipment

  • bain marie / two saucepans
  • chocolate moulds / silicone ice trays

Ingredients

  • 80g raw cacoa butter
  • 10-14g cannabis infused coconut oil and/or raw cacao butter (or any other cannabis-infused oil)
  • 4 tbsp raw cacao powder
  • 4 tbsp date syrup (or agave syrup, coconut blossom syrup)
  • A pinch of salt
  • Dash of vanilla essence

Method

  • Put the raw cacao butter and infused cannabis oil in a Bain Marie to melt.
  • Add the date syrup (or agave syrup or coconut syrup) and whisk carefully.
  • Whisk in the powdered cacao, the salt and vanilla essence. At this point, you can decide whether you want to put nuts in the bottom of the moulds or not.
  • Carefully pour the chocolate mixture into the moulds and leave in the fridge or freezer to set (I find it easier to get them out of the moulds when they have been in the freezer.)
  • When they are set, carefully turn them out of the moulds and serve. Try not to eat them all at once!

Cannabis Blueberry Smoothie (Vegan)

Cannabis Blueberry Smoothie (Vegan)

Smoothies are a great way to get a delicious and healthy serving of fruit or vegetables. Leave the pulp in for an added hit of dietary fibre or use frozen fruit to get that slushy texture.

Making cannabis edibles is not always the fastest process so this recipe is an ideal way to medicate nutritiously when you’re busy. You can use fresh or frozen fruit in this recipe and experiment with the consistency; reducing the amount of liquid when using frozen fruit will produce a wonderful sorbet-like dessert perfect for hot summer days.

Equipment

  • Blender

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh cannabis leaves (approx. 40 small leaves)
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • Half a cup oat milk
  • Half a cup coconut water
  • 4g brazil nuts
  • 1 tbsp powdered lacuma (or local honey or fresh apple juice)
  • 1 small bunch of fresh mint

Method

  • Wash the blueberries and then add them along with the other ingredients into a blender.
  • Blend all the ingredients until smooth and serve in a tall glass, or as a dessert.
  • Garnish with fresh fruit or a cannabis leaf. Enjoy!
